We are an international graphic design practice located in Rotterdam.

Mission Statement: In our practice we solve problems through research and inquiry, graphic design is merely a tool we use to give form to our solutions. We believe in solving problems that have the possibility to change, clarify and enrich peoples lives, driven by designs potential to enable people to reach for higher goals.

An open dialogue with our collaborators helps shape these results. This dialogue is used to source the root of a problem and together figure out the best approach to solve this problem.

Most of our projects are realized within the cultural and educational sectors, where we execute concepts and ideas in the form of exhibition design, books, information graphics and visual identity.

Guidelines: Fragile handle with care!
1.    An open and active dialogue
2.    Distinguish sense from nonsense
3.    Time and good timing
4.    Exploration
4½. Do one thing at a time
5.    Simplicity
6.    Dogmatic approaches can take a hike
7.    Smile

Note: Projects are mainly realized in a physical form within the cultural and educational sectors. These projects generally take the format of exhibition design, books information graphics and visual identities.

About Book Design

>>> See inside (en / nl / ger)
"The demands of a book designer can be great. They may come from the content. There is often considerable editorial work to be done, and this will be intimately connected with design considerations. Then the functioning of the product brings further demands. The imagined reader will always be looking over the designer’s shoulder. Finally, the book has to preform satisfactory as a physical structure. All of this means that, more than in other domains of design, there is no place here for prejudice or dogma. The particular demands of each book require fresh thought and an open mind."
— Robin Kinross

About Information Design

>>> See inside (en / nl / ger)
Information design is the craft and practice of distilling information and data sets for people to digest it’s meaning with efficiency and effectiveness. When and where the data is complex, unstructured or unintelligible, a visual representation can often express its meaning more clearly to the viewer. Information design is not defined as, or limited to, but can be applied to a diverse range of applications and document genres such as financial forms, administrative documents, medical and pharmaceutical statistics, food and health labels, user guides, technical manuals, travel information and way finding systems.

About Exhibition Design

>>> See inside (en / nl / ger)
Like graphic design exhibition design unites many disciplines, skills and techniques. We have collaborated with exhibition-architects, curators, editors, museum construction crews and out sourced fabricators to produce these works. The exhibitions shown on the following pages illustrate our roll as graphic designers in the exhibition environment in addition to our rolls as curatorial and editorial assistants.

About Identity Design

>>> See inside (en / nl / ger)
“The true and right logo is the master class (just one step below the poster): a plain sign. This good-true logo was invented in the 60’s. Of course! the terms logo and sign, as equivalents to the logo, had been around long before that (†, o, x, etc.). Nevertheless the form developed at that time (the cool and functional form) is closely linked with the concept. The 60s are the antiquity of logo design.”
—Norm (Manuel Krebs & Dimitri Bruni)

About Type Design

>>> See inside (en / nl / ger)
From time to time we find our selves looking for a characteristic in a font that simply does not exist. Out of this necessity we have developed a number of typefaces - either original drawings or as a revival of previously un-digitized fonts.

About Printed Matter

>>> See inside (en / nl / ger)
Print remains the classic medium of Graphic Designers. Our love for paper, printing techniques can flourish here. Under the according link in the categories you'll find a presentation of printed items we‘ve made so far.
